My paintings are an expression of my life.  They express the joys and passions, as well as the frustrations.  Life is full of distractions and conflicts.  There is a constant struggle for balance.  My paintings visually convey how I live with the chaos by taking the time to appreciate simple pleasures and discover natural beauty.
My art reflects the ideas of conflict and struggle in a positive way.  My life is hectic and busy, but I still achieve harmony and balance.  I appreciate every aspect of my life, but it is not simple.  Likewise, my compositions are not simple.  The paintings are energetic and full of life.   They have multiple focal points, contrasting elements, and layers of textural detail.  
I build up layers of acrylic paint with clear gloss medium and various types of paper.  Other materials, such as small pieces of glass, are sometimes embedded into the paintings.  There is actual texture and depth in the works of art.  By using a variety of mediums, I can better express what the work of art is about.
Like life, there is a lot going on in my paintings.  People often notice something different each time they look at them.
